Flash Fictions originated at The Canvas and were started by Jeweltones. The idea is simple: every Saturday night at 7 PM CST,
a poster determined by rotation schedules posts a prompt. It can be anything: a picture, a word, a line from a song or a book,
etc. The prompts are always numbered. All posters then have 1 hour to write a piece inspired by the prompt but not necessarily
using it within the body of the work, and five additional minutes to edit. All Flash Fictions posted at The Canvas are archived
at The Canvas unless the authors request otherwise.
